Adjustment Layers & Smart Filters

ADJUSTMENT LAYERS

I Lighten the background and darkened the dinosaur duck to make him the more pronounced figure in the shot.

SMART FILTERS

I made the photo into a smart filter and added paint daubs and underpainting. Then I brought back the Mr. B so he was in focus, and the background had the filters.

  1. Good job making the duck stand out, its a great shot. Everyone’s animals are so cute i can hardly stand it.

  2. Great job with your photo edits. I really like the goose one. I think the composition could have been a little bit better if his behind was cut off a bit and you could see where he was walking. but other than that they look great.

  3. That is a huge duck! You did a great job applying the adjustment layer and the smart filter. It would have been cool to be able to compare them to the originals too.

  4. I really like the duck photo and the beautiful contrast from the duck’s feathers, feet, and background! Great job. And the bunny… ridiculously adorable. :) You might try to experiment with putting your subject somewhere other than in the middle of the photo to strengthen the composition.
